DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

Six Ways We Protect and Respect Your Data

We have built our data practices around transparency and accountability. Below you will find the specific measures we take across data collection, storage, cookie use, account security, data retention, and how you…

Data Collection

We collect only what is necessary — your name, contact details, payment method identifiers (UPI handle, Paytm ID) and session metadata. We do not collect data beyond what your account activity requires.

Cookie Use

Cookies on the dgclub platform track your session state and preferences only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can adjust cookie settings through your browser at any time without losing your account access.

Account Security

Every account is protected with encrypted password storage and optional two-factor authentication. Sensitive fields — such as linked UPI handles and PhonePe references — are masked in our internal dashboards and accessible only by authorised personnel.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law. Once you close your account, identifiable data is anonymised within 90 days unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

Your Rights

Where local law permits, you have the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, and request deletion. Submit any such request through our privacy desk email or the in-account help ticket system.

Third-Party Sharing

We share your data with third parties only where strictly necessary — payment processors handling your UPI or Paytm transaction, fraud-detection services, and where required by Indian law. No data is shared for marketing or profiling purposes.

Your Privacy Policy Questions, Clearly Answered

These are the data-related questions we hear most often from account holders. If your question is not covered here, contact our privacy desk directly and we will get back to you within five business days.

We collect your full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth for eligibility verification, and the payment identifiers you register — such as your UPI handle or Paytm account ID. Device and browser metadata is also recorded for session security purposes.

Yes. Payment identifiers like UPI handles and PhonePe references are stored in encrypted format and are never displayed in full within our interface. Only the transaction processing layer accesses this data, and solely for completing or verifying a payment.

No. We do not sell, rent or share your data with any third-party marketing company. Data reaches external parties only through our payment processors (UPI, Paytm, PhonePe networks) or where Indian law obliges us to disclose it to a regulatory body.

Once your account is closed, we begin an anonymisation process that completes within 90 days for most identifiable fields. Where financial regulations require us to retain transaction records for longer, we keep only the minimum data required by that obligation.

Send a data-access request to our privacy desk email or raise a ticket through the Help section inside your account. Include your registered mobile number or email. We aim to provide a full data report within five business days of verifying your identity.

Yes, where local law permits you to request deletion, we will action it. Submit your request via the privacy desk. We may retain minimal records where a legal obligation applies, but all other identifiable data is removed within the 90-day anonymisation window.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your language and display settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings without losing access to your account.
